I live about a 1/2 of a mile from the Rio Grande. I hear the cranes come through in fall. I fear the wrecklessness of fire along the banks of the Rio Grande. I hike the banks of the Rio Grande to monitor it's health. My dogs love to fetch the downed cottonwood branches of the Rio Grande. I drink that same water. I kayak that same water. I help kids learn the secrets of that same water. I SCOOP the POOP of those lovely fuzzies to keep my community clean and keep POOP out of that same water.
Spending time along the Rio Grande is always a great opportunity to: spot a porcupine, find a million heart shaped leaves, let the sun shine upon your face OR catch a sweet rope swing ride!
